Someone from the office was selling cutesy pens that are suitable for children's gifts this Christmas. I really wasn't interested on the fake Hello Kitties and the other fancy doodoos until I chanced on this - skull pens! They looked really cute and cool. And I was really happy that there were a pair of them! One was white, the other pink! So I immediately held on to them and paid up front.

You probably might be ready to puke already with the wedding related pictures and stories I've been posting lately so I thought to share something fun. But... still wedding related. Ha ha ha! Gotcha! Thing is the only whites you'd see here is not of my gown but of white clouds and sand. Yep, it's our honeymoon in Boracay! :D But before I go on, don't think that I'd be posting some 'naughty' stories here. This is all about the fun in the sands and water. After our wedding, we flew off to Aklan to spend 5 blissful (and stress-free) days at Bora. It's our first visit here for both Myke and I so we were pretty excited. You've seen some of the details. So now, I'll share some more wedding photos and some anecdotes on what had transpired last October 23, 2010 :) ******** | 4am was my wake up time. | | By 4.30, Cel and her team was already in my room getting ready to primp us up. | | Suppliers find their own niche in my rather populated room =) | | The bride | | The groom |
110510 | Note from author: Some pictures may induce hunger pangs :P (Warning addendum requested by author's friend. Hi Dah! He he he.) ****** I just got the CDs of our raw photos and videos from Team Redsheep. I ♥ our P/V (photo/video) team! Myke and I still had to sort out the pictures and choose only a handful (gulp!) that will be included in our album. For now, I'd like to share some pictures of wedding details. I've removed the Details page here in my blogsite and made them into a slideshow. Some pictures feature my DIYs. Highlights from the wedding to be posted soon. Promise! :) ♥ *Contents of slideshow are raw photos from Team Redsheep. We're now on the home stretch and man, it is crazy! We have to make up for some lost time since I've been out of the circuit for 8 days! We still managed to squeeze some downtime with Myke's mom, my FMIL (future mom-in-law). Myke took us to Cafe Lidia at Marikina. The restaurant had that Spanish decor and homey ambiance. The food was great. We ordered Buffalo Wings, Pan Seared Cream Dory in Tomate Sauce and Mixed Seafood Pasta. The chicken and pasta was great, the capers on the fish though was a tid bit too salty. The mashed potato that came with it was really good. They also offer Friz, drinks similar to ice blended coffees. We ordered Butterscotch Vanilla and Coffee Caramel.
Day after I got back to Manila, Myke and I slashed off some more items on our to-do list :)
With the morning business out of the way, Myke treated me to lunch at Bite Club at Katipunan. While working on our invites, I had the problem on how to print out Chinese names on our envelopes. Though I could write them myself, I wasn't sure that my handwriting is really that good plus I was going after the uniform look for the labels. So the idea of writing it by hand was scrapped since my handwriting might be legible on one envelope and then might resemble chicken scratches on the next :P
Now, my dilemma was that the PC I was using wasn't installed with the Chinese language packs. I had to look around the Net for Chinese translation sites just so I could generate Chinese characters. Good thing I stumbled on nciku. It has this nifty feature where you could write down the Chinese character (using your mouse) and it will list down the characters with similar strokes. So all I needed to do was to copy them onto my envelope draft and print them out :) |
